Why Is It Always Naked Men? | 08/10/23

Let’s get the important stuff out of the way first. I saw a house that looked like a face. (I drew the eyes and teeth on myself)

It was actually a lovely walk today. Minimal road walking and some really lovely sights. It was rather hot though and we had some big hills to climb. Here is a photo after a particularly large one. This is me at the top sweating my balls off while the sun bounces off my big bald head.

Once the main one was out of the way the path became a bit friendlier and didn’t throw up to many more inconvenient hills.

We came across a little gremlin looking dude and the sign next to him said he would follow us and keep us safe. I tried to get a good photo but messed it right up. I couldn’t see the screen of my phone due to the sun shining directly on it and the reflection burning my retinas out.

There were a couple of points to note along the way.

First one was this really cool garden with signposts in that had obviously been added to over time. It had so many place names, some duplicated with different distances next to them so I don’t know how much research they really did. To be fair I would just put random distances just to mess with the pilgrims.

The second one was a really cool house who’s owner had done a load of paintings on the walls. I really liked this part. I especially liked the creepy dude poking his head out from behind the curtains.

The third was a rock wall where people had drawn pictures all over the rocks.

We carried on walking along the way with short intermissions to take some nice photos and also some stupid ones.

We passed a bar with a massive fish swimming through the front wall.

As we were walking along the coastal path I spotted a naked man wandering about on the beach, then another one and another one after that. I kept a look out for some naked women but there weren’t any. Just a bunch of men with their nobs out.

About an hour later I was walking up a hill and I noticed a cyclist coming my way. He was getting closer very very quickly. I moved to one side to let him past and he went by so fast that I’m pretty sure I noticed the Doppler effect as he shouted ¡Hola!!!!!

You guys must be bored of amazing beach pictures but here is another one. I can’t help it if I keep walking past gorgeous beaches!

When we had checked in and dropped our stuff off we all hit the bar then went for a lovely evening swim. We then went to the supermarket and bought ourselves some food to cook back at the albergue. We cooked far too much so a polish girl called Olga joined us. She is doing the Camino on her bike and casually ticked off 100km today. A distance that would take me about a week. I might see if she will give me a backy tomorrow.

BUEN CAMINO
