The alarm went off at a reasonable 7am this morning. Earlier than we could have stretched it but we both had a bundle of washing to do so it made sense to get that out the way before checkout time.
We had breakfast included which consisted of a variety of different pots of spreads, OJ, bread and, most importantly, unlimited coffee.

Jenny saved the morning by pointing out that I was about to spread cream cheese on my bread instead of butter.
Micheal joined us at about 9 for the trek to Portugeti (or something like that) As always it was a pleasure to see him.
The walk started with the normal ridiculous hill. I measured my heartbeat this time as an experiment and I calculated it was beating at 450 times a minute.

The very top had benches, a water point and a really cool table that had a tree growing through it.
It reminded me of an old greek proverb.“A table is pretty awesome when old men plant a tree in the middle whose shade they shall never sit.” — Some Greek Dude.

Makes you think.

The walk was an interesting one today. There was a combination of road walking and rural paths. You could tell you were near a city by the amount of rubbish that was littered about but hey ho, I’m not that much of a hippy that I let it bother me too much. I did make sure to get a bunch of photos of it for my mate Alex though.
We walked down through a tunnel and came out the other side that little bit closer to our destination.

We had planned to stop at a Decathlon so I could scratch my consumerism urges. 50 euros later and a few new bits and I was happy. I wouldn’t want my simple way of life affecting capitalism now would I!!
You’ve got to do your bit!
We walked past a church and had a little look inside. As always it was incredibly impressive.

We passed a man a bit further on doing some work up a huge tower. I’m honestly surprised he managed to climb all the way up there with his balls of steel. He must be strong.

The highlight of the day was a little trip up, over, down and back again on a pretty amazing bridge.
Oh, final note to everyone. Jenny is getting back on form. She came back from the hospital with a bunch of prescription drugs and now I’m really struggling to keep up with her. A few more days and I’ll have to call her “Jenny two normal legs”
